To the left is a picture of my 1 pound bronze bullion bar from
Jetco Metals. As you
may know, I'm a huge fan and collector of base metal bullion bars. I already own
copper bullion,
brass bullion,
stainless steel bullion,
nickel bullion, and
aluminum bullion bars. I'm now
extremely pleased to add bronze bullion to my collection, adding to the exciting diversity
within my ingot collection. A year or so ago, the only base metal available in investment grade
bullion bars was copper, primarily lead by Jetco Metals and
E Cohen Mint. A year or
so later, it's so neat to see the progress that the industry has made in terms of number of mints
and the variety of available products. Jetco and E Cohen are still at it and have expanded their
offerings a lot. (Jetco is taking things to the next level with holograms on some of their
bars! E Cohen is hitting the ball out of the park with small platinum and palladium bullion coins.)
There are also newer players such as
The Metal Mint and
The Copper Cave.
So much excitement! (As a new update, even before I start this article, also want to give you a heads
up on my new article showcasing pictures of my new
1 kilo bronze bullion bar
from Jetco Metals. Make sure to check it out after you read this article.)
How I Picked this Particular Bronze Bullion Bar?
There were two driving factors behind my decision to purchase this 1 pound bronze bullion bar from
Jetco Metals. The first was easy, going with the top player in the industry. Jetco has been around
since the beginning of the industry, consistently producing top notch products. It's hard to find
higher quality bullion bars. I always enjoy purchasing bullion from Jetco. Second, I wanted my
first bronze bullion bar to be cheap. Jetco offers a variety of bronze bullion bars. The larger
ones, of course, are neater and more enticing. At the same time, I wanted to keep my costs down and
start out with a smaller purchase. The 1 pound bronze bullion bar was the perfect compromise and
only cost me $22.95.
Bronze Bullion Is Hard To Find
If you like collecting base metal ingots like myself, I recommend buying a bronze bullion bar if you
find one you like. As opposed to copper, aluminum, and even brass to an extent, it's more rare to
find bronze bullion bars. The only ingot that is more rare is stainless steel bullion, only offered
by The Metal Mint at this time. I'm glad I picked up my bronze bullion bar because I just checked
Jetco's Ebay Store
and it's no longer there. I see a larger bronze bullion bar but it's much more expensive. The moral
of the story: buy bronze bullion if you find it!
White Glove Treatment
I mentioned this in my recent article about my
aluminum bullion bar from Jetco,
but wanted to repeat it here. Jetco sells these great white gloves for a very nominal price.
I recommend buying them and storing your bars carefully. If your bullion bars touch the oils
of your hands, they will get "spots" which you then have to polish out. Much easier
to handle and store the bars correctly from the beginning (I learned this very quickly when
I purchased my first copper bullion bar).
New To The Site?
Want to avoid repeating myself too much. If you are new to GoldWhy, I highly recommend following
the links at the top of the article to learn all about exotic base metal bullion bars. However,
want to also underscore that these ingots are only a portion of my overall portfolio.
As the name of the site implies, I'm all about gold bullion. Gold is the primary basis of
my portfolio. After building up a strong position in gold (and storing it safely in your
safe deposit box),
it's then time to start considering branching out and picking up some bullion bars. However, never
lose focus that gold is the primary focus, in my personal opinion.
My New 1 Kilo Bronze Bullion Bar From Jetco
In addition to my one pound bronze bullion bar showcased above, I just purchased an amazing 1 kilo
bronze bullion bar from Jetco Minting. I am absolutely thrilled with this bronze ingot and took
four high resolution pictures of it! Please make sure to check out my new article showcasing
