If you've been around here for a while, you know I've been having a ton of fun accumulating a
small position in base metals with copper topping the list. Aside from copper bullion,
nickel bullion
is the next most popular base metal out there. However, it's really interesting that there just aren't that many
ways for investors and collectors to purchase nickel bullion. While there exists a plethora of different copper bar
producers, the nickel bullion market just isn't there yet (except for E Cohen Mint). So far, I've had a lot of fun
buying nickel bullion bars from The Cohen Mint,
in addition to hoarding all of my US nickels that I get as change when I buy stuff. However, US nickels only contain
25% nickel content (and 75% copper). By contrast, this one pound bag of Canadian nickels is one of the top
ways to accumulate nickel bullion. It contains Canadian nickels produced between 1955 and 1981 which are 99.9%
pure nickel bullion. Excitingly, The Copper Cave offers both one pound bags and five pound bags of these pure nickel
bullion coins. While I purchased the one pound bag this time, I'm looking forward to picking up a five pound bag in
the future. I particularly like this method of accumulating pure nickel bullion because the Canadian nickels are
government issued. There's never a question about quality and content of nickel content when the coins are produced
by a government! As you look to accumulate a position in pure nickel bullion, I highly recommend The Copper Cave. It's
always a pleasure buying nickel, copper, and silver bullion from The Copper Cave, these guys are great!
